We had a lovely break on the Lizard, what a gorgeous area. We expected poor weather, but were very lucky.

This bull is in a sculpture park near Coverack. We came upon it by chance, although we had been told of it. There are many creatures scattered across the grass, slightly surreal to come upon.

There are more picutres of the week on www.nessienoracraftexplorer.blogspot.com

Hello Vanessa
Please forgive my absence of late.. seems to be so little time to catch up with blogging these days.
I am so envious of your visit to Coverack.. Some of my best years were spent there at my parents coastguard cottage..It holds a very special place in my heart.

I must try and get down there this year and find that sculpture park..

I am intrigued to know where the scuptures are as I know Coverack so well. I lived between Coverack and St keverne for 14 years and my mother still lives near so I often still visit. I would love to see these sculptures so would really appreciate knowing their location. I found you through Cowboys and Custard, another person with coverack connections.

Hi Vanessa,
Having contacted my mother she thought it might be the work of Terry Coventry who sculpted the Michael an Gof sculpture on the entrance to St Keverne shown here http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=7041. This webpage also confirms it http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/ourwalk/Stage12.html.
Mystery solved! Thanks for your help and I shall definitely visit next time I am in the area.
